HOD Pediatrics GMC Anantnag becomes National Instructor for IAP ALS BLS Course; Coordinates Organising of IAP- ALS BLS Course at GMC Baramulla successfully

Dr Showkat Hussain Tali, Head Department of Pediatrics GMC becomes National Instructor for IAP ALS BLS after Coordinating Organising of Basic Life Support ( BLS ) course and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course ( ALS) at GMC Baramulla and completing second monitoring course.
Dr Showkat is the State Coordinator for IAP ( Indian Academy of Pediatrics) ALS BLS Course for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He acted as state Coordinator as well as monitoring faculty for both the courses. For the Course faculty from AIIMS New Delhi, Lady Harding New Delhi, GMC Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh were available to train the participants most of whom were specialists or PG trainees.
Dr Showkat Hussain Tali became the national instructor for IAP ALS BLS after completing a second monitoring course at GMC Baramulla. Dr Tali was selected as Potential instructor for IAP ALS BLS in 2024, during IAP ALS BLS Course at GMC Anantnag. Subsequently he was invited to take part in instructor course at Bangaluru which he completed successfully. Afterwards he was supposed to complete two monitoring courses which he did successfully at Kargil and GMC Baramulla during the IAP ALS BLS courses held for 3 days each.
Principal GMC Anantnag Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb congratulated Dr Showkat for Coordinating the courses at GMC Baramulla and becoming national IAP ALS BLS Instructor. She reiterated that the faculty of GMC Anantnag will always be available to be part of training courses and other academic events aimed at upliftment of academics and health care at Central and peripheral health institutions of Jammu and Kashmir
