 Weather Update: J&K to Witness Light Rain, Snow on November 4-5; Dry Spell to Follow

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, with a brief spell of wet conditions expected over the next two days.


According to the latest advisory, weather is likely to turn cloudy on November 4, followed by light to moderate rain and light snowfall over higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley and at scattered places in the Jammu division from the evening of November 4 to the morning of November 5.


From November 6 to 15, the weather is expected to remain largely dry across the Union Territory.


The Met Centre has also issued an advisory warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 km/h) at a few places during the evening hours of November 4. A significant drop in both day and night temperatures is expected from November 5 onwards.


Farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations on November 4 in view of the predicted weather activity.
