Assistant Director FC&CA Anantnag Inspects Ration Depots in Remote Areas of Anantnag
Anantnag, Dec 13: Mr. Malik Muzafar (JKAS), Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FC&CA), Anantnag, today conducted an extensive inspection of ration depots in the far-flung areas of Larnoo, Kokernag and Vailoo—regions that remain largely inaccessible during the winter months.
During the visit, it was informed that ration supplies for four months have already been dumped in these areas to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential food grains and to prevent any hardship to the local population during severe winter conditions.
A thorough quality check of the stored food grains was also carried out to ensure that beneficiaries receive standard and safe supplies. The Assistant Director interacted with several public delegations during the inspection, patiently hearing their concerns and redressing multiple grievances on the spot.
Mr. Muzafar directed the concerned Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) to remain visible in the field and personally monitor the ration distribution process, stressing accountability and transparency in the public distribution system.
