Special Camp on Mission Yuva Loan Disbursement Held at Larnoo
Kokernag Jan 14 : special camp for disbursement of loans and awareness of the Mission Yuva scheme was organised on January 14, 2026, at J&K Bank, Larnoo Branch to promote self-employment among youth and speed up loan disbursement.
The camp was presided over by Shri Prince Kumar, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kokernag, and was organised by the Branch Manager of J&K Bank, Larnoo. Youth from various areas of the Kokernag Sub-Division participated in the programme.
During the camp, beneficiaries were informed about the objectives and benefits of the Mission Yuva scheme and were encouraged to adopt entrepreneurship as a sustainable means of livelihood. Stress was laid on compulsory participation in post-loan skill development and capacity-building training to ensure effective use of financial assistance.
The Branch Manager informed that 24 loan cases were disbursed on the same day under Mission Yuva, involving a total amount of over ₹1 crore. The loans were provided for activities such as dairy farming, sheep rearing, general stores, sports shops, embroidery units, copper work, tent house services, and e-vehicle-based ventures.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate appreciated the Larnoo Branch of J&K Bank for achieving one of the highest performances in Mission Yuva loan disbursement in the Valley. He also advised the bank to expedite the processing of remaining eligible cases to ensure timely benefit to all applicants under the scheme. (ANR)
