And Wait is Over! High-End MRI Machine Reaches GMC Anantnag; Installation Process Begins

Anantnag, Mar 30 : As a major boost to the healthcare services infrastructure in South Kashmir, Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag has finally received a high-end MRI (1.5 Tesla). The arrival of the MRI unit marks the beginning of a new era. The facility is expected to be made operational soon.
This significant milestone has been achieved under the dynamic leadership of Principal, GMC Anantnag, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, whose sustained and unyielding efforts have strengthened both academic and healthcare services in the institution. The accomplishment reflects the collective dedication and coordinated efforts of Medical Superintendent, Associated MMABMH, Dr. Arshad Hassan Siddiqui, Head, Department of Radiology, GMC Anantnag, Dr. Mir Saiqa Shafi, Senior Consultant Radiologist, Dr. Owvass Hamied Dar, Chief Accounts Officer, GMC Anantnag, Mohammad Ayub Lone (KAS), Deputy Director Planning, GMC Anantnag, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Peer, and Bilal Ahmad (I/C Computer Operator, Radio-diagnosis). All these officials worked tirelessly to bring this long-awaited facility to fruition.
The commissioning of this MRI facility is expected to significantly enhance overall healthcare services at GMC Anantnag and provide immense relief to patients across South Kashmir, who otherwise had to travel to distant centers and private facilities for MRI services.
Dr Mir Saiqa Shafi praised Principal and Dean GMC Annatang Prof. Dr Rukhsana Najeeb for her the pivotal role and thanked her unwavering support.
