SDM Kokernag Issues Fresh Traffic Advisory for Sinthan Top Road (NH-244)
The Office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kokernag has issued a formal advisory regulating vehicular movement on the Daksum–Sinthan Top–Chhatroo Road (NH-244).
According to the official communique issued today said "In view of the prevailing road conditions and for the safety of commuters, vehicular movement on the Daksum-Sinthan Top-Chhatroo Road (NH-244) shall be regulated on 15.04.2026 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM only.
Traffic shall be allowed in a controlled manner during the designated hours, subject to road and weather conditions. However, tourist movement on the said road shall not be permitted in the interest of public safety.
Vehicles without adequate safety measures, including anti-skid/snow chains, may not be allowed to proceed.
The general public is requested to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly. The Station House Officer Larnoo shall ensure the strict compliance of the advisory"
