80% Water Supply Restored in Flood-Hit Gureedram, Anantnag; Work On to Cover Remaining Areas
Srinagar, July 2(GNS) Water supply to flood-affected village Gureedram in Larnoo area of Anantnag has been restored up to 80 percent, officials said on Thursday, days after flash floods disrupted services in the area.
Assistant Executive Engineer Feroz Malla told GNS that restoration work is ongoing to cover the remaining 20 percent. "We are on the job to restore it fully," he said.
Flash floods had hit yesterday in Gureedram, damaging water supply infrastructure and affecting local households. Following the incident, teams from the district administration were immediately deployed to carry out repair and restoration work.
Locals have appreciated the swift response of the district administration Anantnag, noting that help reached the village without delay.
Officials said efforts are continuing on war footing to bring the water supply back to full capacity in Gureedram.(GNS).
