Kokernag Hit-and-Run Case Solved; Accused Arrested, Vehicle Seized

Anantnag, Sep 13 (GNS): Police have solved the Kokernag hit-and-run case with the arrest of the accused and seizure of the vehicle involved, days after the incident.
They told GNS that the incident had occurred on September 6, in which a person identified as Tariq Ahmad Khalas, son of Mohammad Sharief Khalas, resident of Shalnad Lisser, was killed.
In this connection, FIR No. 133/2026 was registered at Police Station Kokernag under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS.
Police said they have arrested the accused identified as Mohd Ashraf Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, resident of Naikpora Kulgam, and the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident has also been seized.
Under the supervision of SDPO Kokernag, SHO Kokernag solved the case. Further investigation is underway.(GNS)
