Weather Update: Dry Spell to Continue in J&K, Light Rain/Snow Expected on Nov 4–5
31 October 2025 | Srinagar — The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted mostly dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir till November 3, with a brief spell of rain and snow likely early next week.
According to the latest forecast, the Union Territory will experience generally dry conditions from October 31 to November 3, offering clear skies and stable temperatures across most regions.
However, on November 4 and 5, weather is expected to turn cloudy, with a possibility of light rain in plains and light snowfall in higher reaches of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions — particularly during the evening of November 4 through the forenoon of November 5.
The MeT Centre has also issued an advisory for the period, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds at a few places on the evening of November 4. A notable drop in day and night temperatures is likely to follow from November 5 onwards.
The weather is expected to remain generally dry again from November 6 to 12, providing respite after the brief spell of unsettled conditions.
