Anantnag Dec 18 : The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (FCS&CA), Anantnag, has appealed to all beneficiaries under the Public Distribution System (PDS) to complete their Electronic Know Your Customer (EKYC) process at the earliest to ensure continued access to government benefits.


The EKYC initiative is aimed at strengthening transparency and efficiency in the distribution of essential commodities. By digitally verifying beneficiary details, the department seeks to eliminate duplication, reduce errors in records, and prevent misuse of ration benefits.


According to the department, EKYC offers multiple advantages, including accurate identification of beneficiaries, smoother service delivery, and enhanced data security. “The process adds an additional layer of protection against identity theft and ensures that benefits reach the rightful recipients without delays,” Department said in press Note.


To complete the EKYC process, beneficiaries have been advised to visit their nearest ration shop. They must carry their Aadhaar number along with other required documents and complete biometric authentication for verification. 


 Beneficiaries are strongly encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions in your benefits..
